STALKERs right around the corner and you know what that means.

Upgrades to the Zone.

The Drunker Geiger (The former Rostok Power and Electric Office/Substation) has been updated.

Duty and Freedom both have their own HQs, Bunks in the Geiger & Secured Camping zones flanking the new social hub entrances.

Ecologists and their Merc Guards now have their own HQ in the Geiger.

All factions have outlets and power, with music food and drinks. All blank fire ammo in game is purchased at the geiger and it functions as a 2nd primary trading post and faction hub.

The Geiger itself is a "safe hub' meaning stow your long guns at the door in the provided racks.

That doesnt mean violence wont happen. In case of immiment threat there is a Klaxon siren and red emergency strobes inside and in the faction camping areas. When those go on, be ready.

This is just the first floor. We will be adding in the 2nd floor with a rentable bunk room, in game restraunt, and in game ammo/surplus/stalker item shop, plus a brand new admin office for game control.

Tickets still available!

The railed dust cover arrived from TAPP.

The ceracoat work was decent color wise but the right side rear had like NO prep work to knock down those print lines. Not really worth paying for ceracoat if the base print wasnt prepped.

The print itself is pretty badly warped. Even with some shimming efforts its still canted like 5 degrees or so, meaning there is no way anything is going to zero on this.

Was this not test fitted for correct alignment to check for print warping on an LCT VSS or VAL?

The file itself really needs some work to tighten it down especially on the right side.

This is not usable being so skewed.
Ill be honest especially for the price point this was not ok. We could have done better in house or through one of our affiliates.

I have sent this to their customer support email and I will see what they have to say.

As is this is 100% a two hundo cosmetic only item.

We heard some non GWOT dudes decided to give one of our staff members s**t IRL in the army for his russian interior ministry and Dolg kit because it has a red beret.

Not because it's russian and ukrainian.
Not because it's silly larp.

Nah the hat color was the last straw for these hard charging career motards.

Sounds like non-rate gibberish to me.
No one that's actually deployed gives a damn about a foreign impression kit in a science fiction horror bb larp.

Smells like no-CAB nonsense to me.

1. Fictional.
2. Foreign.
3. Berets are used ALL around the world silly.

But what do I know I don't rate im a dirty civilian.

-Chris.

(Note: since it needs clarified we allow costume and impression correct headgear at our more immersive events that include blank fire. Those events DO NOT use red rags and other immersion breaking things like "im hit" and instead REQUIRE acting out the hit and going down. A staple of our gameplay for almost half a decade at these immersive and LARP type events)

Addressing a common night play question for regional or national play:

Thermals.

We could write a book on this.
Our travel group attends most major national productions.

Anyone telling you that you need $6k thermals is out of their depth or is looking at it from an impractical hunting optics perspective. A $600 Rattler unit is our bog standard on all our LMGs for large format fieldex style events.

Our TLs and SLs use PVS 14s AND FLIR breach thermal units.

Our DMRs use a variety of magnified thermal optics.

These work day or night.

Unlike the more freeform green vs tan face punch events where a set of 14s is fine, anything involving large scale movements with organized and controlled forces in the dark has a huge gap filled by simple thermal signature and movement identification.

If you dont ruck and dont sit PB positions or LPOPs and only play games where nods squads are mobbing capture points you are completely out of your depth on the function of thermals, especially cheap thermal gunsights in a field event.

We use rattlers ($600 cheap gunsight optics) to ID nato movements at ranges so far beyond the traditional NVG, and observe their movements often for hours as they move platoons in place to attack. And then engage accurately when they close distance.

Nods let you move at night. Thermal gunsights make it 100x easier to see and shoot things far faster and sooner than even the latest gen of NVGs.

Thermals, especially cheap rattlers, have been widely used for years now at large format fieldex events. They are incredibly commonplace.

They are also widely used in the current conflict by both sides. The Rattler in particular under its OEM branding is VERY common.

They are two complimentary systems.
Affordable thermals 100% fill a excellent functional role in this hobby.

You can disagree if you want that is totally fine, but rather than argue Ill loan you a ruck and actual functional kit with some sustainment and you can sit ambush, lpop or PB and we can have a nice learning lesson in the field.

Bet you $20 you buy an offset mini for thermal sig ID before the next event lol.

Ok folks here it is! The end of season Blank Fire Only event.

Right on the heels of the upcoming October hybrid BF/Ai***ft STALKER event here at Action Sports Wisconsin, the new november event is now at an abandoned correctional facility in Indian. We are helping Chernobyl Milsim and Larp convert it into a Lab from STALKER.

CML has been producing in depth character focused events in the STALKER universe for over a decade. This is the latest in the shared STALKER universe.

The event runs fri-sun. It is full immersion and entirely inside the former corrections facility. Live, eat, sleep and survive in the exclusionary zone.

The event will have a far heavier horror theme to it and will represent a very focused experience.

This event is set in 2016 so two years prior to our main stalker series. Adjust your kit and character accordingly.

Also a major brand new change to CML Events STARTING NEXT SPRING:

Ai***ft will be allowed in spring, AND you must have a supressor. This is a big departure from the typical CML Event. It is primarily a blank fire event. Earpro and eyepro is required regardless.

Join your chosen faction on a raid on the newly discovered X-Lab! A unique 36 hour event held in the old Putnam County Jail located in Greencastle Indiana! You and your fellow STALKERs will be "Locked in" the old lab building in downtown Pripyat with friend and foe alike. Some of them not human...
