Real Arkansas Soccer Senior Spotlight ⚽️.

Mackenzie Frederick

Position: Midfield

Jersey Number: 7

Parents: Joe and Sheila Frederick

Mackenzie got a Barbie soccer ball for her 2nd birthday. She played on her first team at the age of 3.

Now at the age of 18, after playing in 15 plus states and traveling thousands and thousands of miles, soccer is still her love and passion.

She is very involved in her school and community. Mackenzie volunteered over 375 hours at Camp Aldersgate and was voted Senior Class president, Student Council president, and Miss RHS at Robinson High School, where she graduated with Honors.

We are so very proud of her accomplishments on and off the pitch and can't wait to see what her future holds.

Plans after high school: Attend the University of Arkansas, Honors College majoring in Business and play Soccer for the Lady Razorbacks 🐗

Happy National Soccer Day!!!

What is National Soccer Day? National Soccer Day celebrates soccer, which is the most popular sporting game in the world. Soccer is played by 250 million in over 200 countries. Although soccer and American football each have 11 players per side, that’s where the similarities end. In soccer, only the goalkeeper may touch the ball with their hands and then only in the goal area. In the 1880’s the term “soccer” was coined to distinguish this game from other games, such as football. When first played, soccer was a dangerous sport and was even banned in 1314 by Edward II. But children and adults still found a way to play the sport until it was eventually legalized.
