Join us for practice and a scrimmage open to all on Saturday at 9 am! We will be at the Rolling Oaks Soccer complex at 1 FairPlay Way in Maumelle. Look for the group with hurls (fancy word for sticks). Also stop by and see us if you’ll be at the Arkansas Beer Festival the night before!

Today marks the 104th Anniversary of Bloody Sunday, an event where the occupying British forces opened fire into the crowd at a Gaelic Football match in Croke Park between Tipperary and Dublin. Many were injured and 14 were killed.

One of the killed, Michael Hogan, was on the field playing for Tipperary. He was 24. The Hogan Stand where trophies are awarded is named for him.

The event stands as a somber reminder of the occupation of Ireland and the history of the GAA. The GAA has a webpage were you can learn more:
