On March 21st, we sent four warriors into the cage coming up just short in almost all our fights. To start the night Matt Hooben fell short to a split decision the his kickboxing fight. No excuses, Matt had personal issues yet still went out like the warrior he is. Our 1st MMA warrior. Issac Yan lost a majority decision to a fighter who did not make weight. Despite the disparity, Yan agreed to the fight and came away unscathed, battling from every position and in our opinion was the more active fighter. In our second MMA fight, Almighty David Harrison landed powerful shots and held his opponent to the cage for the majority of three rounds, offering heavy pressure, great clinch work and take down defense. Somehow the judges awarded us only a split decision, however we will take and earned win over a misjudged loss any day. Finally in his pro debut, Martial Attitso was an absolute warrior. Martial was the better striker and landed a beautiful throw in the first round vs a heavy grappler. Each round found his opponent getting on top and neutralizing Attitso's position. At the end of each round we ended up on top or striking. At the end of the fight, Martial looked like he had just worked out, whereas his opponent looked like he was in a fight. Again, we were handed a split decision loss, our this split dec of the night. While we always strive for victory, we strive even more to give our fighters a chance to live their dream. No fight is ever perfect and we learn from every fight. We have always said, this sport is a game of inches. Missing our windows of opportunities can dictate any person's opinion if it comes to it. We will always learn, win or lose and our fighters will come back stronger.
