Moonlight Paddles

Moonlight Paddles Moonlight Paddles are very beautiful, custom made (by hand, one at a time) wooden kayak touring paddles.

They are designed to be very user friendly, with the warmth and natural flex that only wood can provide. They are not overly aggressive or "athletic"; they are very sweet, smooth paddles with just the right amount of "catch" in the water to be nicely authoritative, but will not cause a "jolt" to the shoulders and arm joints like many high performance "instant catch" paddles. They are very friendly

to mature paddlers, or paddlers with joint issues like tendonitis, shoulder pain, or wrist, elbow, and hand pain. We offer the kayaker a custom made paddle that FITS, that looks beautiful, the way the customer chooses for it to look, and is kind to the paddler's individual body.

My husband passed away one month ago today. I want to thank everyone for their healing thoughts and prayers. It’s been a great comfort knowing I have so many friends and so much support. I’m going to be ok. Take a moment to tell those closest to you that you love them. Not because they don’t already know. Not because you may not have the chance later. But because you can never say it enough. I love you all. Thank you.

If the weather cooperates this weekend (that is, NO RAIN!!!), Moonlight Paddles will be at the Allure Art Center's Artisan Market. We don't usually think of our paddles as 'works of art,' as they are well-designed, functional tools that happen to look beautiful, so this show is the first of it's kind that we are participating in. Come see what's going on! Allure Art Center is in White Stone, VA and the Artisan Market is Saturday May 14, 9:00 - 2:00. We'd love to see you.
