STOLEN PIG RALLY 2022 CANCELLATION NOTICE

Due to medical complications I have made the decision to cancel SPR22 that we have been hosting on the last weekend of April for the past 6 years. Hopefully we can pick back up again in spring of 2023. I recently was diagnosed with heart failure problems and surgery is a watch, wait and be ready situation for me. My heart condition is an ascending aorta aneurism that is size 5.1 and also have a damaged partially blocked upper aorta bicuspid valve known as a heart murmur disease that I was born with and also 1 artery or vein that will need a bypass. I feel that I am in the best of hands when surgery time arrives. I have been going to Cleveland Clinic in Ohio that is rated as number 1 in the nation for such heart situations as I have. The ascending aorta will need to be reconstructed with a graft and the bicuspid valve be replaced with a valve made from cow heart skin. I was in the hospital app. 10 days plus have been driving 6 hours to Cleveland for follow up appointments. When I first arrived at Cleveland Clinic Emergency Room last month they removed fluid from my body and since then I have felt like Superman at age 60 and pushing 61. They prepped me for surgery doing heart catherization, TEE and many other things and had a date set a week later while I was at the hospital to perform surgery. They sent me to there in house dentist the day prior to my surgery to have a couple infected teeth pulled. Long story short I wanted to come home to my family dentist and let them do the dental work and to my surprise the Cleveland Clinic surgeon agreed, plus I felt I needed a break, some fresh air and to let my arms and groin bruises heal from all the needle pokes. lol. He agreed that would be fine and surgery could be put on hold for a few weeks. Upon my recent follow up with my cardiologist at Cleveland he said I was doing great and decided to treat me with meds and watch, wait and be prepared for surgery when the situation gets worse. As for now the cardiologist said all is stable with me and he prefers to watch wait and be ready. Heart failure is not enough bad luck for me because I just got out of our local hospital with covid that kept me in the hospital for 5 days and down for 3 weeks. I'm excited to say I am now back to feeling like Superman. To add to medical situations in our family my mother in law was recently diagnosed with cancer but Dr. now said her cancer was gone and has began radiation treatments. She had to cancel her vacation to Maine with her 3 daughters which includes the QUEEN AND BACKBONE OF STOLEN PIG RALLY Kathy McCoy. I'm heart broken that we have decided to cancel SPR22. SPR22 would have made 7 years non stop with an awesome dual sport adventure motorcycle riders meetup here in the heart of Hatfield McCoy Country filled with great riding and eating plenty of open flame roasted bacon with the best guys and gals on 2 wheels on earth and sometimes off earth.
