The Orange County Fairgrounds could use your help and support on July 25th at 7pm Town of Wallkill 99 Tower Drive Building A.
The Town of Wallkill is trying to attack our current land usage that has been in existence for over a 150 years. As a matter fact, only a few weeks ago they secretly slipped into a public meeting, a proposal for the removal of our current usage and exemptions. Thankfully we were notified a few hours prior to this happening or it just may have been too late.
If by chance they get these new laws passed it will directly change the makeup of how our events will be run in the future. The new laws could affect our ability to hold the 180+ year old fair, hold concerts, events in our grandstand and all the other great community events we have run for decades.
Whether you are a participant, fan or supporter of any one of our great events, please come and show your support for a local business that has been struggling to keep entertainment alive in Wallkill for generations. We are very thankful for some very successful events that we have held in 2024 and would like to keep doing what we are designed to do.
Local businesses, residents and nonresidents please come show your support of our 150 year tradition. You don’t have to stand up and speak, even though we would appreciate it, but your show of support at the meeting will speak volumes. Passing these new laws will limit our ability to operate and frankly, we don’t need new laws, there are plenty in place already.
