Hello, Everyone. My name is Mrs. Alex and I’ve been teaching at Compass Dance Academy since 2015! I started my love for dance at Vivian Munson in the 7th grade and was blessed to follow Heather and be apart of the CDA family when the studio first opened. During my time here, I have enjoyed teaching both recreational and competitive Hip hop classes with all ages. I strive and have goals to be a better choreographer with every chance I get.
When I’m not in the studio, you can find me in my role as a shift supervisor, slinging drinks and having fun with my coworkers. I also will be starting esthetian school in the near future. In my spare time, I’m making memories with my husband, family & friends. 🤎

I am Amber Haynam and I am the Studio Director for Compass Dance Academy. I started working at Compass in 2019. This is my daughter Kennedy’s absolute favorite place to be and an organization I am proud do be a part of. I also work full-time as a Customer Advocacy Manager for Wittenbach. In addition to Kennedy, I have 3 older sons; Grant, Brady and Quinntin. I am also a proud Nonny to Luka and Zaria.

I love that Compass is a safe space for dancers to be their true selves, where they have amazing support from their friends and teachers!

Hello dance family! Our new studio is looking amazing. However, we have run into a problem where our flooring isn’t going to be in in time for our opening. Unfortunately, we are going to push our opening back a week. Our classes will begin Monday 9/21.

We are so sorry for this delay, but we want to make sure everything is perfect for our dancers.

Thank you for your understanding
