Hey Tae Kwon Do family! We have a student who is doing a college essay about Tae Kwon Do! If you could answer the following questions in the comments, we sure would appreciate it! Thank you! She needs to have a draft in by Sunday evening for a grade.

Hello! I am doing an essay for my college and it requires different perspectives.

I decided to write about Taekwondo and what the Dojang meant to me as a place. Since it closed down, I can't really go back to it to see anybody for their own special perspective.

1. How does the Dojang make you feel as a place or environment, or just to you in general?
2. How do the students make you feel?
3. What does the Dojang mean to you?
4. What do the students' relationships mean to you?

My next few posts will be about Martin. He surely exhibits the codes of Tae Kwon Do: discipline, integrity, loyalty, respect, and harmony between mind and body. He tries his hardest at every class. He practices outside of the do jang, and has been working on his flexibility since I've met him! It has been an honor to take class with him and to teach a class with him in it! He makes us all work a little harder to achieve our goals.

These pictures of Don and his Grandchildren were sent to me from his daughter, who has 3 of the 4 kids in these pictures. Haley (the oldest), James, and Hannah (the youngest) are all siblings, and Chloe is a cousin. Haley, James and Chloe are all black belts, with Haley being a Second Dan, and Hannah has been coming for about a year now.

Here's our Second Dan Black Belt Don. This man is amazing! He has an awesome memory for forms and sugis. His disability never stops him, he is a testament for perseverance to us all! He was at the dojang at least 4 days a week, and brought 4 grandchildren with him. 3 of them are black belts too; Haley, James and Chloe! I bet he's practicing at home until we reopen. I have pics I will post over a few days!
