Weekend Recap – Senators AAA Spring Cup 🏒
The Massena River Queens Spring Hockey Team / North End Lady Knights battled hard all weekend at the Senators AAA Spring Cup, showing determination, teamwork, and resilience on their way to a Championship Game appearance and taking home the silver medals.
Round Robin Results
Game 1: vs. Nepean – 0-0 Tie
A true battle of the goaltenders, with both teams unable to find the back of the net. Moriah Frost was outstanding between the pipes, earning a shutout and helping the Knights secure a point to start the tournament.
Game 2: vs. Athena's – 3-1 Win
Game 3: vs. Empire Selects – 6-0 Loss

The Knights punched their ticket to the championship game with a thrilling overtime victory. After successfully killing off a penalty in overtime, Madison Gray scored the game-winning goal to send the Knights to the final in dramatic fashion.
Throughout the tournament, the Knights received timely offense from Kinley Barnes, Madison Thompson, Eliza Miller, Madison Gray, and Myla McGrath, who all came through with clutch goals when the team needed them most.
The team's success was also built from the back end, where the Core 4 defense played outstanding hockey all weekend, providing strong defensive play, limiting quality scoring chances, and helping the team compete against some of the top competition in the tournament.

The Knights competed hard against a very talented Empire Selects team in the championship game. While the final result wasn't what they hoped for, the team showed tremendous heart, effort, and determination throughout the tournament and earned a well-deserved spot in the final.

Special recognition to goaltender Moriah Frost for her shutout against Nepean, Madison Gray for her overtime heroics in the semi-final, and the entire roster for representing the North End Lady Knights and Massena River Queens with pride.
