Throwback Thursday at its finest, remember Core & Restore? This weekend explore that contrast between effort and ease with Kayti in her much anticipated follow-up workshop, Unwind & Ignite.

Join us in blending the quiet, introspective nature of Yin with the strength-building, heat, and playful movement of Core Power Fusion, and then wind down with intentional rest and a soothing sound bowl experience.

Mats and props provided (we have it all, in case you couldn’t tell from the pictures). Beginners welcome. Save your spot at the link in bio.

What happens when you give yourself permission to both soften and challenge yourself?

Join Kayti for Unwind & Ignite, a practice in contrast that moves between the quiet, grounding nature of Yin and the strength, heat, and playful movement of Core Power Fusion.

To start, we’ll turn inward with breathwork, meditation, and Yin. Then we’ll shift gears to build heat, move, and strengthen. Thennnn we’ll bring it all back down with intentional rest and a soothing sound bowl meditation.

Come ready to release, sweat, strengthen, play, unwind, and breathe.

Yoga for Alignment is back yall!

Expect time to notice the details, make adjustments, and find variations that work for you. There will be no rushing from pose to pose, this class gives you space to understand each shape and experience how small changes can create steadiness and ease in your practice.

This class is welcoming for beginners, and equally valuable for experienced students looking to refine their practice.

We are thrilled to welcome Tim to QCY! Catch him leading class on Wednesday at noon starting this month! A little more about Tim here:

Tim Rubel (He/him/his) is a dance artist and yoga practitioner based in New York City after years of living and practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area and then South Texas. He is a certified yoga asana and pranayama teacher at the 500 hour level from The Yoga Room in Berkeley, CA. There he trained with esteemed teachers Gay White, Mary Lou Weprin and Ada Lusardi among others. Tim’s yoga practice is grounded in the postural and anatomical awareness found in the lineages of B.K.S Iyengar. Tim’s classes focus on alignment, core strength, and mindful breathing, while always remaining open to the individual needs of students. He is currently a core yoga teacher at Yoga Muse in the Bronx. He has previously taught around the San Francisco Bay Area, in Provincetown, MA and at Texas A&M International University in Laredo, TX, where he was an Assistant Professor of Dance from 2019-2026. Tim received his
MFA in Dance from the University of California, Riverside and is the founder and Artistic Director of Human Shakes, a non-profit dance organization committed to supporting choreographers with commissions and advocacy. His own choreography has been presented on both U.S. coasts and abroad.

A little sound, some stillness, the freedom to rest and do nothing for a bit.

Sometimes practice looks like moving and breathing. Sometimes it’s sweaty. Sometimes it’s getting comfortable, closing your eyes, and taking rest.

There’s room for all of it here.

Summer is winding down, and fall is on its way. 🍂
Come mark the change of season with Lauren and Heather at our Fall Equinox Workshop. Expect a creative practice to help metabolize this change and reflect on balance as we approach the day of the year when we have equal day and night. We’ll also move, expand on our breath work practice, and ease into stillness through sound and guided meditation.
