🎉 Congratulations, Jackson Yost! 🎉

The GHS Shooting Sports Team would like to congratulate former team member Jackson Yost on an incredible accomplishment at the 2026 AIM Grand Trapshooting Championship!

Jackson competed with the GHS Shooting Sports Team during his high school years, and it has been exciting to watch him continue his shooting career at Fort Hays State University. His dedication, hard work, and commitment to the sport continue to pay off.

The GHS Shooting Sports Team is open to ALL 7th–12th grade students — and no experience is necessary! Whether you’ve competed before or are completely new to clay target sports, come learn with us and be part of a great team.

Congrats Team Kansas!!!

Sweepstakes Correction

After checking all discipline results from the 2026 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships, an error was identified in the Sweepstakes results. After correcting the error, there was a tie for first place with Louisiana and Kansas as co-winners of the 2026 Sweepstakes Award. As a result, both states will be recognized as co-Sweepstakes winners for the 2026 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships.

USA High School Clay Target League National Championship is a wrap. Josh finished in 61st place overall. That’s the best finish for a Goodland Jr/Sr High individual athlete in our program history. He shot a 98/100 today. His 3-day tournament total is 296/300. That’s a new PR for him and new goals are already set for next season to beat that.

Thank you to everyone at home for your support of our team. Josh, Abri, Leah, Brylie, and Jaxan had a week they will never forget. Some big wins, some tough competition, some new friendships forged, and some tough learning opportunities too. We will be back next year, stronger!

Ticket punched. Josh finished round 2 with a 50/50. 99/100 with a reverse run on 73 today. That earns him a spot in the Championship round tomorrow. We will know his squad time later this afternoon.
