This being Tony’s tip, we’ll have you hear it from Tony himself:
“Force precedes Motion”. A simple idea, that creates a big change for the better in your golf swing. It also creates a “Sequence” called the “Kinematic Sequence”, of Hips, Torso, Arms, then the Golf Club when you swing. This is presented when 3 Forces are applied to the swing: Lateral, Torque (Rotation), and Vertical. The first of which, Lateral, is a simple move towards the target when your Lead Arm (Left arm if you are Right Handed), is parallel to the ground on the way to the top of your swing. You can perfect this move with something I call “Money to the target”. When your left arm gets to parallel on the way up, your right hip is rotated behind you. Start moving your right back pocket (where you might keep your wallet) towards the target. This moves the lower body (Hips go first in the Kinematic Sequence) towards the target, with the upper body (Torso, then Arms, then The Club) following it, employing the other 2 forces of Torque (Rotation), and Vertical (Pushing up and back with the lead leg). The first move on your way to building a better swing……. Think “Money To The Target”.
