Running out of words to describe these boys. Today I’m going with resilient and competitors. They just went 5-0-0 in the USYS Ohio President’s Cup for the U16 age group. THIS IS THEIR THIRD PRESIDENTS CUP WIN IN A ROW!!!

They battled a crazy tough opponent today that they’ve also played in league. Had our amazing GK sent off in the first half on a crazy sequence of events for what was determined to be a DOGSO challenge (we’ll be reviewing the game film for sure), had a field player step in to goal for the rest of the game and played a man down.

They not only dominated the rest of the game and finished regular time 1-1 after leading almost the whole game. This year the rules had us go straight to pens. We went 6 players in, made 5 of 6 and that field player….saved the last pen.

They played together, they battled adversity and they were the definition of resilient today. I love this group.

National Qualifier here we come!!!!

These boys are back in the Ohio Presidents Cup semifinals for a third year in a row. 3 wins in the group stage. Job not done.
