❤️ Heartwarming story incoming - brace yourself.

Yesterday we got a call after we closed. This caller had traveled to Mason City to ride at the new Prairie Rock Trails Bike Park. While he was out enjoying it, he noticed a child also trying to play at the park. Our visitor found that this child’s bike needed significant repairs. Without - this child wouldn’t be able to safely play.

He had called us and asked if he could either pay for repairs or if he could buy the child a bike. We had just gotten in a bike for trade that was going to need a whole lot of parts. We were touched by the generosity of a stranger and worked out a deal. They purchased parts and we donated the labor to get the bike like new again - which we would ensure was given to the family.

Today we called up the family and they were able to pick up the like new bike! Acts of kindness like this are what makes Mason City and Iowa special.

🔧 When people are out buying up bikes to experience things like the Prairie Rock Trails Bike Park, City of Mason City - Government paved pathways or mountain biking up at Lime Creek Nature Center/Cerro Gordo County Conservation Board with their new singletrack - you need to have a build party to restock!
