"Barrel contours are ground between centers."

No matter how many times you say it, it doesn't make it true. Ground between centers only means the ends are true to the bore, rarely the center. 24" factory barrel cut down to 18.5" to become a suppressor mule, and this shows just how far the gun drills/cutters/broaches can vary along the length of a barrel. Every gunsmith has their preference on replacement, but this one hasn't burnt out yet. liljaprecisionriflebarrels will be getting a call soon for a replacement barrel since their tubes have shot lights out for me with factory loadings, and of course I'm gonna call up Manson Precision Reamers for the chamber reamer.

Yes, I'm using a metric and imperial set of indicators, but that's because I don't have a large enough sweep metric indicator for the OD. For reference, .01mm is 0.0004" (rounded up), and the OD is off 0.054". Best guess on what manufacturer this rifle came from?

Two for two ✔️

Upgrading two 30-year-old sniper rifle platforms for a local agency's SWAT team. We absolutely loved this project and being able to help local professionals do their job is that much more satisfying.

Bringing the platforms to a manageable 18.5" barrel length with a proper rethread and coating was the first step.

Outfitting them with bolt k***s and steel scope mounting hardware tied in the topside.

Bravo Chassis from for each brought these platforms into a modern modular era.

We tossed the old bipods in exchange for Atlas variants to allow a wider range of motion and more loading capabilities.

Each setup received a .tac suppressor cover to mitigate mirage

Threw them atop tripod setups and each went out the door after a test fire.

We had to shake it up a bit when given the opportunity with this PDP

Our friends at .advantage cooked up some killer machining combinations to create the perfect platform for a final coating.

They started by giving the business end a flush target crown, along with their 7 port design for some of the best recoil mitigation on the market.

In the "full-send" department, they had the serrations milled for windows, exposing the barrel for a great opportunity to show contrast.

We took the rest over with a killer two-tone that brings out the best in this setup 👌
