Our MS Softball team is off to an incredible 7-0 start after another exciting win over Jerseyville on Monday, St. Ambrose on Tuesday, and Roxana on Thursday!

Some stats from the week:
💥 Ellison Judd: 3-for-3, HR, 5 RBIs vs Roxana
💥 Ellie Swick: 2-for-3, HR, 2 RBIs vs Roxana
🔥 Lydia Katt: 1-hit pitching performance through 4 innings with 11 strikeouts! vs Roxana

What a way to open the season! Our MCS Middle School Cross Country teams competed at the ICS Invitational in Columbia, IL, going head-to-head with 17 area schools and more than 400 runners. After a summer of training, our Lions were ready to race—and they showed it!

🏆 Varsity Boys — 1st Place | 40 Points
All five scorers finished in the Top 15!

🥈 Connor Potthast — 2nd
🏅 Jack Fields — 4th
🏅 Samuel Conforti — 10th
🏅 Jameson Vieregge — 13th
🏅 James Hepp — 14th

💪 Varsity Girls — 4th Place | 103 Points
The girls showed incredible teamwork, with all five scorers finishing within just 27 seconds of one another! Talk about a pack! 🔥

WHAT. A. FINISH! 🔥

Our Middle School Girls Softball team battled through an absolute thriller against Wilbur Trimpe Middle School last night!

After jumping out to a 6-run lead, the game was tied at the end of seven. After falling behind by three in the bottom of the 8th, our Lions refused to quit — and then came the walk-off grand slam! 💥🦁

A HUGE congratulations to the girls for showing incredible resilience, battling through every up and down, and believing until the very last pitch.

Shoutout to Ellie Swick and Lydia Katt for their big performances in the win! Ellie went 3-4 with 7 RBI’s, including the walk-off grand slam in extra innings and Lydia racked up 14 strikeouts in 6 innings!👏

IHSA Cross Country season is officially underway.🥳👟

Week 1 is in the books, but the work started MONTHS ago. These Lions logged more than **2,000 combined miles together this summer**!Now we’re excited to see what God will do through all the work they’ve put in🙌🚀

The boys will compete as a full IHSA 1A team this season for the first time in MCS school history. The girls are just ONE runner away from also having a full scoring team. (We'd love to have someone join us).

Our season opens at the **Mascoutah Kickoff on Saturday, August 29 at 8a.**

Our Middle School Softball team is 2-0 to start the season!💪

The Lions opened the season with a 12-9 victory over Highland Middle School before following it up with a dominant 17-0 win over Roxana!

Two games. Two wins.👀🔥
