Floating the Yuba River

It’s time to go floating! The Yuba River is currently flowing 8,850 cubic feet per second! That’s pretty fast, so be safe if you’re going out anytime soon. The water is also pretty chilly right now. Let us know if you’re planning a trip, we’d love to see some pics!

And now, a message from those who make floating the Yuba River possible...

As the weather heats up, just a friendly reminder that the Yuba River is still extremely cold and flows are swift and can change rapidly. Always exercise caution when recreating on or near the river, wear a life jacket and stay safe this Memorial Day weekend.

IT’S FINALLY HERE!!!!! Summertime temperatures mean we’re going floating any day now! The Yuba River is flowing ~1400cfs which is great for a nice leisurely float from Hallwood to Shad Pad lasting about 3 hours. Remember to stay hydrated and bring sunscreen or you’ll feel the burn for sure!

Please go support Mongolian BBQ. She is open today for full service, but take out the next 3 days. If the state is keeping her closed for more than 15 days she will have to close up the shop. She has been in business for 30 years. I’ve been going there for 10 years already myself. Wei Wei is such a wonderful part of our community and I would hate to see it end for her this way. Please order to-go! Go in! Don’t let this over-zealous governor ruin something we all appreciate so much. Thank you

Happy Memorial Day!!! The Yuba River is flowing about 1400cf/s right now which is perfect for a nice, lazy float of about 3 1/2 hours. Conditions are excellent this year. If you decide to join us on the river today please remember to drink responsibly and be safe at all times!!
