Great Divide Great Divide is Montana’s sunniest ski area. We’re a quick 23-mile drive from Helena, MT. Find us by exiting I-15, exist 200. Head west on Lincoln Rd.

Great Divide is Montana's most progressive, affordable skiing & snowboarding mountain. Located just north of Marysville, Montana on Belmont Mountain, Great Divide is just 23 miles from Montana's Capital City of Helena. (MT 279) for 9 miles and then turn left on Marysville Rd, look for our sign at the corner. With a wide selection of terrain, from beginner to extreme and everything in between, it's a great place for the whole family to enjoy. With fun food and drink across the mountain and free wi-fi in our base lodge, you can hit the slops without missing a beat. This week’s snow probably won’t stick around through the weekend, but it was a pretty good reminder that ski season is getting closer — and there are a couple things you can get checked off now.

Choose your winter. ❄️🎿

A season pass changes skiing from something you plan for into something you just do.

🏔️ A couple hours after school
🌙 Friday night with friends

❤️ A full family day when the snow is too good to leave

When Great Divide is close to home and your passes are already in your pockets, a ski day doesn’t have to be a big production.

Long before Great Divide looked the way it does today, a group of Helena skiers looked at Mt. Belmont and decided to build something.

They couldn’t have known how many generations would learn to ski here, how much the mountain would grow, or how much the world would change around it.

Over the years, lifts have changed. Trails have grown. Buildings have come and gone. Even the name changed from Belmont to Great Divide.

But the idea has stayed remarkably similar:

A place for our community to ski.
A place to bring your kids.
A place to spend winter together.

We hope those original Belmont skiers would be proud of what their mountain has become.

Dogs of Great Divide: Avalanche 🐾

Avalanche is a fixture around the lodge all winter long.

He takes his self-appointed patrol duties very seriously — especially anywhere chicken strips or burgers might be involved. He will also do his best to convince you that he hasn’t eaten in days.

He has. We promise. 😂

Avy is looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the lodge, making his rounds, and finding the perfect spot outside to lie down in the middle of a snowstorm.

One fitting. One setup. A whole winter of skiing. 🎿

Season lease appointments open tomorrow at noon!

Starting Wednesday, September 16 at 12 PM, you can book your fitting appointment online at skigd.com.

Fittings begin October 3 and are available every Saturday + Sunday from 10 AM–4 PM until ski season begins.

Pick your appointment, come in for your fitting, and we’ll get your equipment set for the season.

Booking opens tomorrow at noon at skigd.com.
