Dear Marysville Community,
As many of you are aware, I have accepted an Assistant Principal position at Twin Rivers Charter School in Yuba City for the 2026-2027 school year. My son, Max, will be entering the 5th Grade and my son, Ty, will be entering TK at Twin Rivers in August. As an educator taking on this new position will help me grow both personally and professionally.
The primary purpose of this message is to thank everyone for your support over the years. The Marysville Joint Unified School District Board, Superintendent, Jordan Reeves, and Principal, Joe Seiler, have been extremely supportive of the athletic programs at MHS. This is in addition to the previous administrators that I worked alongside. Also, thank you to David Chiono who served in the Athletic Director role prior to me and provided a solid foundation.
Serving as a teacher, coach, and Athletic Director at Marysville has not only been a job but a passion. There have been league championships, section championships, and state playoff runs, along with challenges and setbacks. Marysville High School and the programs that are provided are a product of the work that the student athletes, coaches, parents, community members, teachers, administrators, secretaries, custodial staff, grounds crew, maintenance staff, and Athletic Trainer do on a daily basis. Knowing that many life lessons have been taught to the students through athletics is ultimately what it is about. What I will cherish most are the relationships that have been built with the students, parents, staff, and community members. I hope that all of you have a fantastic summer and 2026-2027 school year!
