Summer heat is here and is back on the scene burning meat in parking lots! this past weekend the entire household made the 3 hour trip to Marysville, KS for the big blue barbecue contest! It was great to once again light the fires with and see if we could put 4 great meats together against 25 top tier teams. while not our most automatic cook we were lucky enough hear our name called a couple times, once for 2nd Place Pork and for 7th Place Overall. Little Miss Damn Fine was a champ the entire weekend (minus her trip/fall on the way to getting our pork award lol) and i absoluteot could not have done any of it without help!

Great to finally get back to cooking contests after a long winter! We made the trip to Osage City, KS for one of the best run BBQ contests in the country, Smoke in the Spring. Had an absolute blast hanging out with the bbq family and shaking off the rust. In the end we managed a few calls and got to cap off the comp hearing our friends get their first GC! Thats what its about! Congrats to on RGc and to everyone who heard their name called.

11th Overall (103 teams)
7th Chicken
6th Turkey
