This experience is extra special to us because, as tour guides with Savannah Rapids Kayak Rentals, we get to paddle out to Stallings Island and say hi to our donkey friends every weekend in the summer! 🫏🥕

This route is rich with history and truly feels like being transported to a magical land. ✨ No two trips are ever the same — with each season bringing new surprises. From otters and turtles to birds, beavers, and deer, you never know who you’ll meet along the way! We always make sure to stop by Whale Rock and Stevens Creek Dam too. 🐳

If you love nature, history, and adventure, this paddle is a must. And don’t forget to pack a few carrots or apples for the donkeys… they (just like Jillian 🤣) need a sweet treat to stay happy.

Time to get those paddles saddles because the Augusta Canal waterway will be OPEN for paddling this weekend — Friday through Monday, May 23–26! 🙌💦
Please note: The tow path will remain closed, so water access only. 🛶
