Encouraging Those Who Pour Out. 🌿

Notes like this remind us why we do what we do!

Pastors and ministry leaders spend so much of their lives pouring into others, often with little time to rest and be refreshed themselves.

At North Fork Ministries, it is our joy to provide a place where these faithful servants can step away, find renewal, and spend intentional time with the Lord.

We are grateful for the kind words left by a recent pastoral respite guest and even more grateful for the opportunity to serve those who serve so faithfully.

This book is an incredible opportunity to help your children put on the full armor of God. We can pray for protection over our children but we are also called to teach them diligently. Sometimes that protection comes through the spiritual armor we place on ourselves daily.

It is such an honor to be part of this book! We know it will make an impact for the Kingdom as children (and their parents) will walk in a life of faith rather than fear.

Two years after God’s initial prompting, we’re finally able to hit send on a manuscript. Earlier in the year, I thought we could wrap it up in a weekend. I was wrong - God had something more special planned that I couldn’t see at the time.

Next step? The Brave Path will come alive with all of the graphic details that make a kids book so special. I’m grateful to invite Chelsea Dozier, North Fork Ministries, into this special part of the project.

Jeremiah and I were playing ball in the living room last night after we finished the last page… (our most meaningful reflections often involve a ball in hand - lol!) I asked him to tell me what he thought about the book, what went well and what we could have done differently. And I wasn’t expecting what I heard, “Mom, I just know it really helped me. When anxiety pops up at school sometimes, I feel more confident about it. I know what to do. And I know I can be brave through it and that God is going to help me”.
Well - if that was the only reason for this project, that would be enough! But we pray that God will use it to help some other amazing kiddos too.

Put it on your Christmas list - because The Brave Path is coming out soon, and we pray that lots of kids can start 2027 on a Brave Path Adventure… from Big Feelings to Brave Faith.

I’ll share more later about the neuroscience and all of the details behind the scenes, but for now, we’re just going to take a few days to breathe - and enjoy some time away from
a Word document. 😂

Ephesians 4:15–16: "...we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work."

Age does not matter. We are the Body of Christ, and spending time with other ladies from different seasons and walks of life only brings unity to the Body, as well as giving us opportunities to grow in our own personal relationship with Christ.
