Heading home from US 131 Motorsports Park after Radial Outlaws Racing Series Shakedown at M’town, I had a lot of time to think about the past few days and the word FAMILY is the best way to wrap up this race.

I got to spend this week with Rhonda O'Donoghue Priest and most of my immediate family at the track. I also found out there was another family I was a part of and that’s the racing family. During Q2 Friday night, we broke the crank which caused catastrophic damage to the engine. After thinking we were finished, I get a call to come see Tommy Youmans Racing. Tommy said he had a spare engine that we could put in our car. He said we’re a family and that’s what family does.

We rolled the car to Tommy’s pit Saturday morning and his whole crew helped us swap engines and make it to round one of eliminations. I can’t thank Tommy, Lee and his whole crew for the help. The racing family is very strong. Being new to drag racing, I’m glad I’m finding this out.

Not the way we wanted to end the weekend at US 60 Dragway for the Radial Outlaws Racing Series Battle For The Thrones. We had some good test sessions and were feeling good where we were through qualifying. Eliminations came and ultimately a dollar o ring ends our weekend. We were overwhelmed by the show of support from our friends and family. I wish we could’ve won it for the home team. I’m super proud of Luke Priest and Taylor Norris. You guys have really done a great job with the car. After a fuel pump failure in Q1 hurt the motor, we pulled and all nighter rebuilding and were in the lanes for Q3 Although it hurts this morning, I believe our team is poised for great things. Looking forward to Michigan in a couple of weeks. Thanks again Lee White for everything you do for us. You’re a warrior! Hopefully the series will return to US60 next year so we can redeem ourselves!
