We are back home and back to normal life after our week long 14u World Series trip In Asheville, NC. Recap: we came out 1-1 to start our first day in pool play. We dropped the 3rd pool game to what looked like our worst performance as DRD. With ours heads down going into tournament play, us parents did t know what to think. BUT these boys rallied and won 2 games back to back beating the team that whooped us the night before. Now in the drivers seat for the Silver championship we waited out the storms, literally. The boys showed up Sunday morning and finished in probably the best way possible. Cash money walked it off with a 2 run homer. Bitter sweet moment as the Dirt Road Dingers last hit was a dinger. Thanks to all the coaches, manager, parents and grandparents that showed support through our 2 years. Shoutout to Coach Jason, Coach Woody, Coach Travis, Coach Jeremy and Manager Sadie. Yall truly made a difference in all of these boys life. Although these boys might not put on the DRD uniform anymore, we know that they will always remember it and the times they had playing in it. Heres to the friends made, relationships formed and a stronger love for the game! ⚾️🩵⚾️🩶
