I've got an announcement to make, with the way the King of the Draw has been growing, and the visions I have for it and other ideas, it's time that I start charging a 5$ admin fee/entry. This means KoD event 6 on 10-14 the entry will be 20$. Hopefully this doesn't upset anyone as I have run this event for almost 4 years for free or taking a loss on the day.
This decision comes with realizing that with doing what I do in a much smaller dart market compared to some other bigger towns, it is not feasible for the vendors or bar to accommodate the payouts and myself.
We get 10$ a head added from ECS and The 918 and that is HUGE for a town like Marshalltown. I truly believe this is the step towards really being able to grow Martial Darts and provide more events!
ECS and The 918 have been instrumental in growing this event this past 1.5 years and I couldn't be more appreciative of that! Let's continue to make the Marshalltown dart scene grow, as well as Iowa and beyond that! THANK YOU ECS AND THE 918!
I love the fact that I am an independent tournament organizer so I am free to run events anywhere for anyone! This is a big step for me to continue to be independent!
With these plans I will be running more tournaments with the same 5$ fee/entry, this will allow me to put more time into more events and also be able to run bigger and better events! If you’d like to see Martial darts come to a town near you, have your bar or vendor send me a message!
