First and foremost, THANK YOU to everyone who came out and shot with us this weekend! We truly appreciate every single archer who made the trip, tackled the course, and spent part of their weekend with us at Big Creek Archers.

You guys showed up in a BIG way—and we set a NEW ATTENDANCE RECORD! 🎯🔥

This was one of the toughest hikes and most technical longest-distance shooting courses we’ve put together to date. The terrain pushed you, the long shots challenged you, and you guys absolutely took it on!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out and supported Big Creek Archers today! We had an incredible turnout, and it was great seeing so many familiar faces and plenty of new ones hitting the course. 🏹

We also want to apologize for the line for the custom sight tapes today! 😅 We definitely had more people wanting tapes than we anticipated. Thank you for your patience and for hanging with us while we worked through everyone.

We appreciate every single person who came out, shot the course, supported our sponsors, grabbed some food, and helped make today such a great day.

💦 AUGUST BOWHUNTER WARMUP SHOOT REMINDER! 💦

A quick heads-up for everyone coming out this weekend!

Part of the course includes multiple creek crossings. The water isn’t deep, but there are enough crossings that your feet could get damp if you’re not careful. 🥾💦

We recommend wearing boots with good, aggressive tread and being prepared for some wet and muddy areas along the course.

Custom sight tape users—this is why your tape should match the arrow you’re hunting with.

These two sight tapes were built for arrows that both weigh 410 grains. The only difference is the point.

* Left: 410-grain arrow with a field point
* Right: 410-grain arrow with a mechanical broadhead

Even though the total arrow weight is identical, the drag created by the broadhead and the longer point shifting the FOC (Front of Center) changes the arrow’s trajectory. That difference is enough to require a completely different sight tape, especially as distances increase.

Don’t assume your field point tape will be accurate with your hunting setup. Build your custom sight tape using the exact arrow and broadhead you’ll be shooting.

By popular demand, one of our all-time favorite shots has returned for this weekend’s Big Creek Archers 3D Shoot!

This target challenged shooters at a previous shoot and always gets people talking. From the creek bottom, you’ll have to pick your line, judge the distance, and make the shot count. It’s the kind of target that you’ll remember long after the weekend is over.

If you’ve shot it before, you know exactly why it’s a favorite. If you haven’t, this weekend is your chance to see what everyone has been talking about!

Our Bucket of Shame has grown considerably this season!

If you’ve been sending arrows into the abyss on the Big Creek Archers course, there’s a good chance they’re waiting for you in the bucket. We’ve recovered a pile of them throughout the year, and it’s starting to get pretty impressive.

Before or after your next round, stop by and take a look. You might be surprised to find a few of your long-lost arrows waiting to be reunited with their owner.

And if your arrows aren’t in the bucket… well… they may have officially become permanent residents of the woods. 🌲😅

We’re excited to offer custom sight tapes at both the August 8–9 Shoot and Bownanza on September 12–13!

Unlike traditional methods that rely on how accurately you can shoot a dot at long distance, these custom tapes are built using your actual arrows downrange velocities. That means your tape is generated from real arrow performance—not your ability to group arrows at extended distances.

Whether you’re looking to improve your confidence on long-range targets or simply want a more precise setup, this is a great opportunity to get a tape built specifically for your bow and arrow combination.
