Kathleen and I are headed to Dallas for last round of chemo treatments. Hopefully everything will go smooth and we will only be there 6 days. After that we start preparing for stem cell transplant.

Please keep us in your prayers as we travel and then have treatment.

We still have our Go Fund Me page and seeking help. I have not been able to work since February and not sure when I will be able to go back to work. Once we finish with chemo it will be at least 2 months for the stem cell transplant and recovery. I want to thank everyone that has contributed to the fund up to this point. I don’t know what we would have done to get to this point.

The two things that I have had through all of this is faith and hope. God is my guiding light and he will see me through it!

I thought I would give everyone an update on where we are on this cancer journey. Since I have been home this time I have had platelets and blood transfusions. This morning I’m feeling pretty good! Appetite is returning.

We go back to Dallas at the end of the month for the final round of chemo. The last time they performed a scan the mass was not visible.

After the last round of chemo, they will give me a few weeks off and then start the process for a stem cell transplant. They did some of the testing during my last treatment.

After the transplant is completed, I will have stay close to the hospital for 5 to 6 weeks. So we still have a long road to navigate. Between hope and faith we will make!

My prayer since this all started has been the same. My hope is that God heals me while I’m still here on earth. My faith is that I will be healed in heaven. So when you pray for someone, pray that God heals them while they are still on earth. God promises that we will be healed in Heaven! When that day comes as my friend Jason Barton of 33 Miles sang, in the song “What could be better”. The song says “Nothing on earth could ever compare
Can't wait for the day when I get there
When I see Jesus face to face”

So please keep the prayers coming. They are being heard.

Attention everyone. This is Kathleen. After meeting with all the board members it is an unanimous decision to cancel the shows for the 2024 season. This has been a very hard decision for us but we feel that it is the best decision. I apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this has caused. Robert has started the testing for stem cell transplant procedure and this will require him to be in the hospital or totally isolated for months at a time. Please keep him in your prayers. He has a tough road ahead. We just couldn’t get staff in order for this season. This does not mean that we won’t come back next year regrouped and with new ideas. I’m doing everything possible to keep Robert healthy and fighting. Robert and I have overseen pineywoods shows for 10 years plus and y’all have becom part of our family. I hope to see you all soon.

Good morning everyone. This is Kathleen. Robert is waiting for his 2nd chemo treatment at Medical City Dallas. I wanted to update everyone on the first show of the series. Robert has asked us to move the first show until another date and us to proceed with the May 18th show. I have talked with all the directors and we all agree. This will give Robert time enough to get someone ready to take over the office duties with Ms. Billie. I thank you all for your many prayers and support in this difficult time. This has been way more difficult than they first anticipated. We didn’t expect to be back in Dallas for treatment at this time. We look forward to having a great show series this year and we have already had a couple of people volunteer to take over the paperwork. Y’all know that is not my thing at all!! The outside running is handled. We will just have to get the paperwork and the office duties settled. With that being said, I will try to answer whatever questions you may have but my main concern is my husband and his well being. Jessica Austin can also see messages and she has volunteered to answer what she can. Also Holly Williams and Judy Casper will be monitoring the page. Thank you all so very much. After maybe 12 or more years of getting a show together for pineywoods, this is not what we planned! Hahaha. We know that God is always in control and God is good. All the time

Greetings and Happy New Year!

I hope everyone's 2024 has started off good and you are getting ready for the upcoming year. I want start off by asking everyone to please continue to be patient with me. I am starting to get some energy back and working to catch things up. In the coming weeks I will let you all know about points and prizes as I work through things. They are coming I promise.

I hope that everyone is doing great and ready for Christmas. I wanted to update you all about my battle with cancer.

This morning I received the results of the PET scan after my last scheduled treatment. The doctor said “Your cancer is gone”. Thank the God! Thank you all for your prayers and for checking on me through this.

I want to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

If anyone found a bridle at the show Saturday, please let us know. One of the youth riders lost one and is heartbroken. He saved his own money and bought the bridle.
