As I sit here this evening ready to cheer the U.S on with my little boy, my mind is also on tryouts bright and early tomorrow morning. I used to lose sleep wondering what tryouts would bring. First there was the heartache of losing players and graduating players but more recently I have focused on the excitement of welcoming new players and families to our DBSS Family.

It is for the latter that I write this message and one which I hope all current DBSS families and fans will share.

To the parents of children who are CUT and discarded tomorrow. DO NOT DESPAIR. Your child’s destiny may have already been written. If young enough and if you find this message, the stars would have aligned and you will undoubtedly become better off having been in that moment of dissapointment.

Our club prides itself on REAL DEVELOPMENT, providing players with an honest pathway to success and proving the doubters wrong. We love the underdog story, for we know it is in those setbacks and in that adversity where true character and staying power shows itself.

If your child is of an older age, they may have missed a huge chunk of development that our club would have provided, however, we will endeavor to provide a home if at all possible.

For parents of little ones age U5-U7. You are starting out on this crazy mixed up journey of travel soccer. I encourage you to start out with DBSS and trust the process along the way. We have a proven methodology and philosophy that’s caters to all ages and stages.

8:30-10am U9-U13 Boys and Girls
10:30-Noon U14-U19 Boys and Girls

Our 2011 Girls will be the first team in the club to experience this level after winning their Premier and GLVP Leagues in the last couple of seasons. This is a huge moment for our club and proves that organic growth is achievable without chasing ridiculous leagues and alphabet soup structures.

DBSS offers a true path for player development and sets kids up for success when it really matters! ✋ 🎤
