The rut action was hot this morning in Illinois. This was one of many bucks cruising this morning. Had what looked to be a dandy chase a doe by the stand before shooting light. Good luck to everyone.

The woods are really starting to take on that fall look. Our favorite time of the year! The rut is just about ready to pop, scrapes are a great place to hunt for the next week then it’s time to go in deep and hunt some major doe bedding areas. That’s when morning hunts typically become much better.
