Race recap for Saturday, Aug 15th at Jefferson Speedway...

It was Kid's Night which is always a fun race day! It was a non-points night for the bandits but they were added to the show to help out with kids rides. Check out this pic of Casie driving around an adorable group of kiddos! 😍

Casie qualified into the feature on time this week, 11th quick out of 22. She started 4th but a few laps in was sent to the tail of the field after the car ahead of her lost power during tight racing and she got into him,. spinning him out. The tower didn't realize he blew up, they just thought Casie spun him out. Calls are made quickly in racing and there's no takesie backsies once the call is made and racing resumes - just part of racing sometimes! The driver who blew up came over afterwards and let us know what happened and that it was a bad call so that was pretty cool and made it sting a little less. 🥰 She was able to work her way back up to finish 9th.

Get a race car they said. It'll be fun they said. 🤦🏻‍♀️ This was in qualifying after some significant adjustments to loosen it up and some unsavory advice about what to do if it gets loose. IYKYK, lol. Had lots of help (more on that later) to get it fixed up quick - it was really pretty minor stuff. The rest of the night went much better! Getting ready to head to Jefferson, back in the bandit today. Hopefully she's done playing in the sand now for awhile! 🤞⛱️

Late race recap for July 18th - Race For The Ribbon…🩷🏁

Well…this one definitely made us work for it!

Casie broke loose in qualifying a couple of times and qualified 21st of 30 cars, sending her to the last chance race to try to earn a spot in the feature.

She started 2nd in her heat race and wasted no time getting to the front to lead all 8 laps! She picked up another heat win putting her at 6 heat race wins in 8 races this season and earning her another mention by Scotty on the Cornfield Chatter. 🌽

Next up was the last chance race, starting pretty far back in 7th with only top 4 transferring. With a restart on lap 6, she took a chance and picked the outside on the cone, made her way to the inside and settled in for a 2nd place finish, earning her a spot in the feature!

Starting 15th in the feature, she had her work cut out for her. She battled through the field, picking up spots to bring home a 9th place finish. Pretty proud to turn a 21st place qualifying into a top 10! Up next, fighting for that top 5! 💪
