An all-terrain track chair at Oxbow Park in Byron is allowing people with physical disabilities to explore nature a little easier.

All Terrain Georgia, an initiative championed by quadruple amputee Aimee Copeland, recently introduced a fleet of wheelchairs specially equipped to navigate terrain too rugged for everyday chairs, making the state's parks and trails more accessible. Mark Strassmann reports.

The great outdoors are becoming more accessible one trail at a time thanks to the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center in Austin. The nature center now has 3 new all-terrain action track chairs, helping those with mobility impairments explore the trails.

Track2wing Applications Open!


Applications are now open for the Anisfield-Wilson Track2wing Project – a program to grant Action trackchairs to individuals with mobility challenges who want to train and hunt with bird dogs. NAVHDA, Pheasants Forever / Quail Forever, and the Ruffed Grouse Society are helping get the word out. Applications are open January 1 to March 31, 2023.
