The Adams Ridge Rays is a private, community, summer swim league swim team open to residents of the community of Adams Ridge. Swimmers must be under the age of 17 to participate and they must be able to swim one length of the pool successfully and safely. The team is a member of the North Hills Summer Swim League silver division.

Hello all,

The HOA has graciously agreed that we can hold swim team practice tomorrow. We can't thank you enough for all of your patience.

We will practice from 8-10am. Please remember, swimmers in the red practice should come from 8-9, and swimmers in the black practice should come from 9-10. We will be preparing for out first meet on Tuesday during our next two practices.

In the event that our pool is open and able to accommodate us on Thursday, we will have an inter squad "practice meet". For this meet, we will split the team in half and swim races against each other, just like a real meet. Because there will only be half as many children on each team, the meet will not be as long as a normal meet. This will be a great way to give our swimmers some more practice before our first real meet next week due to missing so many days of swim team because of pool closure.

We will be having an intersquad meet because another team from our league, North Boros, does not have a team this year.

If you can attend this meet, please RSVP on our website by today at 8pm. This will be a very low pressure and fun event! Remember, you have to RSVP on our desktop site, the mobile app does not allow RSVP's.

Please plan to arrive at the pool no later than 5:30. Swimmers will warm up at 5:30 or 5:45 depending on age. While they are not warming up, coaches will walk them through the process of a meet and give valuable information. If you are signed up to volunteer for this meet, we will still need your help!

If our pool is not open and/or will not allow for us to use the pool for the swim meet at this time, I will let you know via email as soon as I know. If we still have no word of an opening date by tomorrow morning at 10am, I will cancel.

As far as practice tomorrow goes, I still have not heard any information regarding an opening date for the pool. If I still do not hear anything by 8pm tonight, I will cancel tomorrows practice via email.

I apologize for the confusion and lack of information I have for you at this time. I will continue to update you as quickly as I can when information is released to me.

Unfortunately, we will have to cancel our swim meet scheduled for this Tuesday, June 15th. There is still much uncertainty surrounding when the pool will be allowed to reopen, and the pool managers and management company do not have a known reopening date at this time.

In addition, the opposing team does not feel comfortable swimming in our pool at this time due to the news reports of children becoming very ill after swimming in our pool. I know many of our swimmers feel this way too, and I completely understand your concerns.

I truly hate to have to cancel, as I know the swimmers were looking forward to their first meet, as were the assistant coaches and myself. However, I do not want to make a last minute decision and disrupt anyones plans. It is also imperative that we ensure all swimmers safety before re-entering the pool for any swim team activities.

I am attempting to reschedule this meet with the opposing team's parent coordinator, however, there are no dates that our pool can confirm we will be able to host a swim meet at this time. I will continue to update you as soon as I receive communication from the HOA, pool managers, or CCM.

Thank you all so much for being so patient and understanding during this confusing time. I hope to have more information for you in the coming days.

I am still unsure if we will be able to have practice tomorrow or not. If I do not hear any information about reopening by 8pm tonight, I will cancel tomorrow's practices via email.
