The MIGHTY Madison Polar Plunge & Chili Cook-Off is almost HERE — and you do NOT want to miss it!

We’re talking:

🌶️ Hot, delicious chili ready to warm you up
🎉 Loud cheers, big laughs, and tons of community spirit

💙 Supporting our incredible athletes with Special Olympics North Carolina Madison County
This is more than an event — it’s a PARTY with a PURPOSE!

Grab your friends. Grab your family. Bring your appetite. Bring your loudest cheer. Let’s pack the place and show everyone why Madison County is MIGHTY! 💪

Plungers - bring a towel and change of clothes. There are warm, indoor locker rooms for changing after plunging!

On behalf of Mighty Madison Special Olympics, we are proud to invite our local banks to participate in this year’s Mighty Madison Polar Plunge & Chili Cook-off.

As respected financial leaders in our community, your institutions play a vital role in strengthening local families and businesses. This event offers an opportunity to further demonstrate that leadership by supporting local athletes with intellectual disabilities as they train, compete, and build confidence through sports.

We are challenging local banks to:
• Form a Polar Plunge team of employees and leadership
• Enter your best recipe in the Chili Cook-Off
• Rally customers and staff to contribute to your fundraising efforts
• Compete for Top Fundraising Bank and Community Spirit recognition

This is more than a one-day event — it is a visible commitment to inclusion, teamwork, and community investment. Participating banks will receive recognition at the event and in promotional materials, along with well-earned bragging rights as leaders who truly make a difference.

Fun afternoon making Christmas/holiday crafts! We were having such great time, taking pictures was an after thought 🫣 so there were some participating who aren't pictured. Grateful to Cheryl Ledbetter and Anna Edmonds Jones for thinking to snap these!

We appreciate A-B Tech Madison for their hospitality, allowing us to use a classroom for the afternoon's activities.

Mighty Madison had a fun afternoon on Friday at our Edify Paint Party with Keri Payne. Keri did an amazing job having everything outlined and ready, brought lots of paint color choices, and patiently gave us advise and direction on painting our pictures while giving us the freedom to paint in our own way. Absolutely tons of fun! Special shout out to Sherri Davis and A-B Tech Madison for allowing us to use a classroom for the afternoon. We're a very lucky bunch! Go, Mighty Madison!!! (LOL ... surnames used in picture captions are obviously not our own.)
