Scholar Highlight: Gavi is a great example of a well rounded fighter. Besides being an accomplished blacksmith and graphic artist (they made our latest posters and edited the video), Gavi is also our lead scholar for spadroon, and contains a wealth of experience with longsword. They embody some of our clubs most cherished traits: a willingness to try new things, and sharing the lessons they learned with others.

our park days have a secret: we aren't just here to practice in the sunshine. Eight people stopped by today, and we got to share our hobby with all of them! Whether you have a kid that thinks swords are neat, your friends wanted to pose for pictures, or your date night turned into a sword fight, Ninth House has something for everyone.

It's not all sparring and practice. The local SCA crew stopped by so we could finally find out what we all had in common.Thanks to Sayf, Sibeal, Astriðr, Gruffydd and Aelfbeor for walking us through crafting and armor upgrades, answering all of our questions, and being fantastic guests!

Two days. Three venues. Every kind of performance you can imagine... and some you can't.

We're building this festival for the artists who don't fit neatly anywhere else. The weird, the bold, the experimental, the genre-defying. Whether you want to be part of the return of the Marquette Spectacle on Friday night or perform during Saturday’s ticketed, multi-venue programming, this is your chance to help shape the very first year of this festival.

Omnia In Context!
Amy got the chance to join SCA light fighters Gryffudd, Jorven, Astridr, and Greta for an afternoon. Finding out the differences between Ninth House and Unofficial Central UP SCA Group (Shire of Skerjastrond) was an education, leading to new understanding, new friends, and new experience.
