There’s just something special about spring. The ice is gone, the water is warming, and bass are beginning their yearly transition from wintering areas toward shallow water feeding and spawning zones. It’s a season filled with opportunity, changing conditions, and some of the best fishing of the entire year.
Whether you fish natural lakes here in Wisconsin, river systems, reservoirs, or shallow backwaters, spring bass behavior follows predictable movements that anglers can learn to understand and capitalize on. This Wednesday night, May 13th, I will break down those movements and discuss how to consistently locate and catch both largemouth and smallmouth bass during the spring.
I’ll cover:
• How water temperature influences bass movement
• Pre-spawn, spawn, and post-spawn patterns
• The best spring locations to target
• Productive lures, colors, and presentations
• Boat positioning and electronics strategies
• Cold-front adjustments and changing weather conditions
• And techniques that consistently put fish in the boat
I’m looking forward to meeting you there!
