🐴🇺🇸 DAY 2 IS IN THE BOOKS! 🇺🇸🐴

We made the decision to scratch the MAJ Howze with our Old Guard friends this morning to save our two older boys, Vangjel & McQueen, for Military Horsemanship in the afternoon heat—and that plan paid off! 💪

8️⃣ Gary Polsinelli & Paris — 8th Place

Vangjel and McQueen have officially completed their competition week and earned some well-deserved rest! ❤️🐴

But we’re not finished yet! Day 3: Gary & Paris take on Mounted Sabers & Combat Horsemanship, while Lara, Josie & Matthew Smith trade their reins for ring-crew duty and give back to the competition that has given us such a great week of horsemanship, camaraderie, and connection.

🐴🇺🇸 The NHACC horses are settled in and ready to go!

Vangjel, McQueen & Paris have arrived at Historic Fort Reno for the 2026 National Cavalry Competition — Golden Spurs: 50 Years in the Saddle! After weeks of preparation, everyone is settled in and ready for an incredible week of competition, camaraderie, history, and horsemanship.

We’re proud to have the National Horse Artillery & Cavalry Conservancy represented at this historic event for the first time. Now it’s time to make some memories and Forward the Legacy! 🇺🇸🐎

🏇 Golden Spurs, here we come! 🇺🇸

Vangjel, McQueen & Paris have been working hard and putting in the miles as they prepare for the 2026 National Cavalry Competition at Historic Fort Reno!

Tomorrow, we’re hitting the road to get everyone settled in and ready for four days of competition, history, horsemanship, and—most importantly—camaraderie! We’re excited to represent the National Horse Artillery & Cavalry Conservancy and take part in the 50th Anniversary Golden Spurs National Cavalry Competition!

🇺🇸 NHACC is Hitting the Road!

We’re excited to mark another FIRST for the National Horse Artillery & Cavalry Conservancy!

NHACC President Lara Armstrong and Treasurer Josie Guimond, along with Vangjel, McQueen, and Paris, will be representing the NHACC at the 2026 National Cavalry Competition at Historic Fort Reno, September 16–19!

This is our first outside event representing the NHACC, and an important step in moving our mission forward. Opportunities like this allow us to build relationships, develop partnerships, preserve mounted military traditions, and educate communities about the history and legacy we are working to carry forward.

We’re excited to get out into the community, meet fellow organizations and supporters, and show what the NHACC is all about.
