Minuteman Flames Hockey The Minuteman Flames Minor Hockey Association is one of the largest and most competitive Elite and AAA Programs in New England.

The Minuteman Flames first took the ice as a single team in the 1975-1976 season. They were formed with all-star players from the Minuteman Youth Hockey League, which operated at the Nashoba Valley Olympia in Acton, Massachusetts. During

the first season, this all-star Minuteman Flames team played similar all-star teams from other regions of the Greater Boston Area. In the 1977-1978 season, the Metropolitan Boston Hockey League (MBHL) was formed, providing a formal forum for the all-star team concept. The Minuteman Flames joined the MBHL. The Minuteman Flames has since transferred to the Eastern Hockey Federation (EHF) and has grown significantly over the past three decades.
