🏆 State Champions Crowned 🏆

Our 2nd Annual State Tournament is officially in the books, and the LA Fitness Legends brought the title home!

Led by co-captains and LA Fitness went a perfect 5-0 with +75 pt differential. The win secured each player a $200 cash prize💰 and State Tourney title.

Their opponent, Renegades, came out firing behind Cam Moniz, Matt Veiga and Jude Valmeus 3pt shooting barrage to take an 11pt lead midway through the 1st half. After a clutch timeout, LA Fitness regrouped and answered right back with a run of their own to keep things within striking distance going into the 2nd half.

From there, it was back and forth all the way to the finish. In the end, late game fouls and free throws sealed the deal and crowned the BYL State Tournament Champions.

🏅WINTER 2026 MVPs🏅

South - Jeff wasted zero time getting acclimated to BYL with a dominating debut session. A strong first impression that set the tone with 25ppg, 16rpg, and 50% from the field.

Central - Ghost rose to the moment with his Winter session performance. With 22ppg, 6rpg, and 45% from the field he has established himself in the Conference as one of the Elite.

🏆 BYL Finals Recap: DNA2WIN vs Hoop Academy 🏆

The game opened up with a true back and forth affair of trading buckets from and Neither side could gain separation early however as DNA2WIN settled into the game they opened up a lead of nearly 15 points early in the 2nd half.

With 3:45 remaining Hoop Academy trailed by 11 points, a pivotal turning point in the game. A lead that once looked comfortable was shrinking posession by posession. With less than 1-minute remaining the game was knotted up at 74-74 after three clutch free throws by on a foul committed during a three point attempt.

DNA2WIN a historically composed team in crunch time had a costly shot clock violation and a desperation shot with 30 seconds remaining allowing Hoop Academy to wait for the last shot and a final attempt to complete the comeback.

commanded the late game run but ultimately rose for the putback layup with one second remaining, scoring as the buzzer sounded and Hoop Academy capturing its 1st BYL Finals Championship.

Hoop Academy is crowned as Champions of the 4th rendition of the BYL Finals.

🏆 Winter Conference Championship Recaps 🏆

The Winter 2026 BYL Finals is officially set after two conference Champions were crowned Sunday night.

Central Conference - It’s not new territory for DNA2WIN, who are headed back to the BYL Finals for the second straight season under captain Guy Pistone. DNA controlled the tempo from the opening tip and built a 20+ point lead midway through the second half.

The Back Room, making their first Conference Championship appearance refused to go away. They clawed back to cut the lead to 10 points with just minutes remaining, but late free throws and composed play down the stretch allowed DNA2WIN to hold them off and secure the win. The defending champions advance and prove they are still the team to beat.

Southern Conference - Hoop Academy faced a huge challenge against the defending Southern Conference champions, Mustangs, and things looked bleak early after falling behind 12–0 to start the game.

Behind an electric performance from Jacquil Taylor and a clutch late surge from Javon Taylor, Rudy Jean, and Michael Downing Hoop Academy battled all the way back. The game came down to the wire, but Hoop Academy completed the comeback and dethroned the Mustangs with a thrilling 56–54 victory to punch their ticket to the BYL Finals.
