🎉 Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Office Announces 2025-2026 Scholarship Winner! 🎉
Sheriff David L. Dauzat is extremely proud to announce the recipient of the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Academic Scholarship for the 2025-2026 school year, along with our two outstanding alternates!
🏆 Scholarship Winner: Carley Ducote
Hometown: Marksville (Daughter of Jetty Luneau)
High School: Graduate of LASAS
Future Plans: Attending LSU in Baton Rouge to pursue a degree in Agriculture & Extension Education.
Career Goals: Carley aspires to become a Louisiana State 4-H Agent. She wants to educate, encourage, and mentor youth in a positive environment through hands-on learning in health, science, and agriculture.
👏 First Alternate: Allison Soldani
Hometown: Moreauville (Daughter of John and Christine Moreau Soldani)
High School: Graduate of Avoyelles High School
Future Plans: Attending LSUA to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She plans to return to Avoyelles Parish to open her own business!
👏 Second Alternate: Kate Rozas
Hometown: Cottonport (Daughter of Jacob and Michelle Gauthier Rozas)
High School: Graduate of LASAS
Future Plans: Attending LSUA to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, with goals of becoming a dental hygienist!
About the Scholarship Program The Sheriffs’ Scholarship is made possible by the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Honorary Membership Program (LSHMP). The program provides a $1,000.00 scholarship to graduating high school students from each parish in the state.
