The Markle Downhill is coming September 19, and local businesses are getting their names on the starting line.

For $100, you can sponsor a cart. We put your logo on it, provide the cart, and even provide a driver if you need one. All you have to do is claim yours and show up ready to cheer it on.

Want the pink one? The Jeep? Something that matches your business? Now’s the time to pick your ride before somebody else does.

The Markle Downhill: A History: Episode 3
Join us Saturday, September 19 for an afternoon of gravity racing, homemade carts, and some good old-fashioned Markle fun.

Registration & inspection begin at 12 PM, with racing expected to start around 2 PM.

We’ll have both Power Wheels and Open Class racing, with champions crowned in each division.

And we still need VOLUNTEERS! From registration and inspection to helping keep race day running smoothly, we could use a few more hands.

THE MARKLE DOWNHILL NEEDS YOU!
The Markle Downhill is coming September 19, and we're looking for volunteers to help us make race day happen.

We need help with registration, cart inspection, the starting line, course support, and getting carts back up the hill for another run.

No experience necessary. If you're willing to show up, pitch in, and be part of what we're hoping becomes a new Markle tradition, we want you there.

We have been getting a lot of questions about the rules and regulations for the Markle Downhill, and it is awesome to see so much interest!

Here is the complete list of rules, class definitions, and vehicle requirements.

If you are planning to attend, give this post a like so we know you have seen the rules. If you want, drop a picture of your cart in the comments so we can start to see the field take shape!

If you have any questions, please put them in the comments so everyone can see them. We will answer as quickly and clearly as we can.

Please remember that the judges’ decisions on race day are final. Our goal is simple: to make the Markle Downhill the safest and most fun event imaginable.

🏁 RACE-DAY LOCATION, PARKING & SPECTATOR INFO 🏁

The Markle Downhill rolls onto Lee Street on Saturday, September 19!

📋 REGISTRATION & CHECK-IN
Registration and race-day check-in will take place at the Markle Volunteer Fire Department:

150 W. Sparks Street
Markle, IN 46770

Registration and safety inspections begin at noon. Racers should bring their completed registration form, entry fee, helmet, and race vehicle.

🚗 PARKING
Public parking will be available within walking distance of the course. Please follow posted event signs and volunteer directions when you arrive.

Do not block the fire station entrances, emergency vehicles, private driveways, intersections, or the closed racecourse. Additional confirmed parking locations and accessible-parking information will be posted before race day.

🪑 SPECTATORS
Bring a lawn chair and find a good viewing spot along Lee Street! For everyone’s safety, spectators must remain in the designated viewing areas and stay behind all barriers, hay bales, and course markings.

The Markle Downhill is coming to Lee Street on **Saturday, September 19**, and we want the whole community involved.

Want to race? Build a cart and send it down the hill.

Don't want to build one? **Sponsor a Power Wheels car for $100.** We'll put your business or organization's logo on the car, enter it in the Power Wheels division, and give your sponsor some love during the race. You can provide a driver, drive it yourself, or we'll find somebody brave enough to take the wheel.

We also need **volunteers!** If you'd rather help make the Downhill happen from safely outside the driver's seat, we'd love to have you.
