Hello everyone!

I recently had the opportunity to work on this very nice 1943 Walther P38.

When it came in the decocker/safety was not functioning as it should So, it needed a new safety hammer decocking lever fitted. It also hadn't been gone through and cleaned in a very long time, possibly even since it was assembled.

In the end, it ran wonderfully and was a joy to shoot.

Heres one that surprised me a bit.

I had a customer request that I change the profile on an m24 profile barrel to a DARPA XM-3 profile as well as shorten it to 18.5" (between the reprofile and shortening, the barrel went from 5.1lbs to 4lbs) , cut a recessed 11° taget crown , thread it to 5/8-24 and time his brake without shims. He also wanted it to be cerakoted by (who knocked the cerakote out of the park) to match his receiver.

What surprised me was how much I liked the DARPA XM-3 profile. Initially, when I saw the photo, I wasn't a fan. But, after seeing the barrel in person, I'm considering turning down a blank for a build of my own.

Heres an M1 Garand that I just finished rebarreling.

It had an arsenal replacement barrel on it from 1946, and it now has a brand new on it.

I've asked the rifles owner to let me know how it shoots because I'm considering rebarreling one of my own.

Heres a Big boy in 357 magnum that a customer wanted to have some work done on.

After I was finished, it was suppressor and optics ready, and it also got a new lever.

Heres the single shot Wi******er model 67 from the drill and tap video I put up the other day.
The owner wanted to be able to mount a scope for squirrel hunting.

Fortunately, I was able to miss the inspection mark with the first hole. (I prefer to leave as much original as possible)

(Yes, I know the sight is backwards, I did that, so the parts weren't lost in a bag somewhere if the owner (or the next person) wanted to switch back to iron sights eventually. If possible, help out the future owner.)

Here are the details on the Ch***pa Rhino I posted a little while ago.

It came in because the customer wanted to have it converted from single action only to single/double.

When it arrived, it had 2 screw with the heads stripped out, and I couldn't remove the side plate. So, I milled the heads off and then back to the regularly scheduled programming.
