🏋️‍♀️ Want better results from your workouts?

Here’s a reminder from our training team:

You don’t need fancy equipment.
You don’t need 2-hour workouts.
You don’t need to be “fit enough” to start.

What you DO need:
✅ A plan
✅ Consistency
✅ Progressive challenge
✅ Patience

Strength training isn’t just about building muscle. It’s about building a stronger body for everyday life, supporting healthy aging, improving bone density, boosting confidence, and helping you continue doing the things you love for years to come.

The secret isn’t finding the perfect workout.

The secret is showing up consistently.

👇 What’s your biggest challenge when it comes to staying consistent with exercise?

Need help getting started or taking your fitness to the next level? Stop by Mountain Fitness and chat with one of our trainers, take a class, grab a card, or check out their profiles. We’d love to help with all of your fitness & wellness needs!

💡 TRAINER TIP TUESDAY with Julie Maccarone of FitMiss

Has your workout routine been feeling a little… MUNDANE or stale?

While consistency is one of the biggest keys to success, that doesn’t mean your fitness routine has to feel repetitive. One of the best ways to stay motivated is to shake things up and try something new!

🕺 Classes can improve cardio, balance, and coordination and are fun if you like a group environment
🔥 HIIT-style classes build muscular endurance and challenge you in new ways.
💪 Pilates develops deep core strength and stability.
🧘 Yoga improves flexibility, mobility, and recovery.

Hire a trainer…

And so many more options!

The best workout isn’t just the one that gets results—it’s the one that keeps you coming back.

🎥 In this week’s Trainer Tip, I sat down with Julie to talk about motivation, staying consistent, and keeping fitness fun (audio could be better but the message is too good).

And if you caught the end of the video, you’ll hear Julie mention her first bodybuilding competition last October. 🏆

👀 Stay tuned for Julie’s next Trainer Tip, where Julie shares more about her competition experience, what inspired her to step on stage, and what she learned along the way.

✨ BONUS NEWS! ✨

If you’ve been looking for even more ways to move, have fun, and challenge yourself, be sure to follow and check out Julie at Studio!

She’s excited to share that she’ll be starting to teach classes there soon—subbing first, with her own Barre classes coming this August! 🩰💪

Trainer Tip of the Week: Don’t Skip Unilateral Training

One of the most overlooked ways to improve strength, balance, and movement quality is through unilateral training—exercises that challenge one side of the body at a time.

Think:
• Split squats / lunges
• Step-ups
• Single-arm presses
• Single-arm rows
• Single-leg deadlifts
• Carries

Why does this matter?

Because life isn’t bilateral.

Walking, climbing stairs, carrying groceries, picking up your kids, getting in and out of your car, hiking, working around the house, aging, life in general—most of what we do happens one side at a time.

Unilateral exercises can help:
✔️ Improve balance and stability
✔️ Build strength more evenly between sides
✔️ Increase coordination and body awareness
✔️ Improve core engagement
✔️ Identify weaknesses before they become injuries
✔️ Improve overall movement quality

Finding your fitness routine doesn’t mean chasing every trend, doing the hardest workouts, or trying to do so much that you burn out before you build momentum.

The best routine is the one that challenges you appropriately, fits YOUR life, and keeps you showing up consistently.

Do you notice one side is stronger, more stable, or more coordinated than the other? Let us know below 👇

MEMBER OF THE WEEK: Ethan Morrison 💪🔥

Ethan has completely shattered the belief that you can’t truly change your life and body if you really want to.
He’s lost OVER 100 pounds — and more importantly, he’s kept it off through consistency, discipline, and some lifestyle shifts.

What’s even more inspiring is that his transformation didn’t stop with weight loss. Ethan became passionate about health and fitness through his own journey and last year even got his personal trainer cert so he can help others do the same. He’s been helping his buddies get fit, and that’s pretty cool.

His approach isn’t built on gimmicks or quick fixes. It’s the fundamentals:
🥩 Fueling your body with real food & protein
🚶 Taking walking and daily movement seriously
🏋️ Lifting weights consistently
🧠 Developing a growth mindset
🔥 Showing up day in and day out

And trust us… the hard work shows. Ethan is STRONG. Not only in the gym, but in the way he continues to push himself outside of it too. Watching him improve in aerial silks and other athletic pursuits has been awesome, and getting to witness that progress firsthand has been even cooler.

Ethan is proof that you do NOT have to stay the same person if you don’t want to.
You can rebuild your habits.
You can rebuild your mindset.
You can rebuild yourself.

We’re proud of you, Ethan. Your consistency,, work ethic, and growth mindset inspire a lot more people than you probably realize. 👏
Drop some love for Ethan in the comments below! ⬇️🔥
