Well, this is it. My last time to reflect on this business, this gym,, this , this family,, in Marion.
I am happy knowing that over the last 15 years we have helped so many people completely change their lives for the better. We have been a blessing to those people and they have been a blessing to us.
I am happy that no matter who you were, the longer you spent with us, the better off you were. No one that stayed with us didn't benefit significantly. No one that stuck with us had regrets.
I am happy that so many people found out that even though they were scared at first, they found a home that they loved. A place where they were completely comfortable when they never suspected that that was even possible.
I am happy that so many friendships were born here that still carry on til this day.
I am happy that we did it in a Christian atmosphere. As flawed as we are, God was acknowledged and honored here. He blessed Body Evolution immensely. We are grateful and owe it all to Him....from our first client to our first equipment purchase to the way things have happened this year, 15 years after it began....He is still blessing us.
I am happy that we did it all at a bargain price and that, for a bargain price, we offered a private club, away from the masses as well as personal training, individualized planning, incredible ammenities from massage to sauna and tanning, day to day accountability and a warm greeting, by name, at the door every day. It wasn't just for the rich. It was for whomever needed it and prioritized it.
I am happy that we were able to help so many through the crises of life. Emotionally. Physically. Mentally. The gym can be therapy....and we were, on occasion, therapists.
I am proud that we were hated by the competition and we are still trying to be duplicated while they scramble for the leftovers of our departure. It is complimentary.
I am super proud of my wife who also loves helping people get healthy, who is better at it than I am and who has become a full fledged partner through it all. She ran it by herself this year while I worked at Cedar Ridge in Hardy....and then she came home to me each week and worked there. It was a tough year to say the least...being 3 hours away several days a week is hard, especially when the workload is so immense. It wasn't supposed to be this way and In the end, its just impossible to run two businesses that far apart for any length of time. 10 months is all we could take. It wasn't supposed to be like this, but we survived....though it was through fire.
I am blessed to have made a living helping the citizens of this area live a healthier life. I truly cared. Often I cared too much, when caring less truthfully would've been much more beneficial.
I have tons of regrets and made lots of mistakes but ive learned that that is the journey of life. ... I've learned much that I look forward to implementing in the future.
Onward. Upward.
We will continue helping others. Just not here.
Goodbye Crittenden county. Take care of you.
Never miss a Monday!
Never quit!
