I would like to thank all the Massac County players and coaches for coming out and praying with our boys tonight! And everyone that helped with Jack tonight!
Tonight was a reminder that some things are so much bigger than the game of baseball.
When one of our player went down with an injury, the scoreboard, the outcome, and the game itself suddenly didn’t matter anymore. What mattered was Jack.
Watching our team and Massac’s team come together, not as individual players, but as brothers, to pray for him was a moment I’ll never forget.
Baseball will always teach us about competition, toughness, discipline, and perseverance. But moments like this teach us something even more important, we take care of our own.
There will be more games. More innings. More wins and losses. But there is only one team, one group of young men, and one opportunity to make a difference in each other’s lives.
Tonight, we were reminded that being a teammate means more than sharing a dugout or wearing the same jersey. It means standing beside each other when things get difficult, lifting each other up, and letting someone know they don’t have to face it alone.
Tonight was bigger than baseball.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Jack and his family. We’re behind you every step of the way. ❤️🙏⚾
Family first. Always.
