Eastern Iowa Adult Baseball League The Eastern Iowa Adult Baseball League is an adult wood bat league run in the I-380 Corridor. Check the schedule for the specific start date and time.

Major towns include Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Davenport, and Waterloo. There are teams in the smaller towns that surround those major metropolitan areas. The Eastern Iowa Adult Baseball League is a recreational wood bat baseball league consisting of players age 18+. Players must not be playing college or minor league ball to participate. Players also must not still be in high school or playing thei

r senior season after graduation. Games run from May to mid August ending with the league tournament. All doubleheader games are played on Sundays usually starting around 1:00PM. The goal of our non profit organization is to give adults the opportunity to play baseball in a competitive environment. Congratulations to the Cubs for finishing off the season with a sweep in our championship series. Cubs won 4-1 and 3-1 to end the season.

Tryouts for next season will be announced sometime in December, email the league or keep an eye out on our FB page for the date.

3 teams started the day and only the QC Hawks advanced to play the Cubs next weekend. The Hawks will be the visitor in game 1 of the best of 3 series, this will be played at Mercer Park in Iowa City at 1pm Saturday August 29th and Sunday August 30th if needed.

This weekend is in the books, it wouldn’t be possible without good host sites. A big thank you to coach Martinez at Liberty High, and a big thank you to the Mercer park staff for their assistance in getting us a place to play.

Our long day due to last weekends rainouts is in the books, 4 more teams were eliminated from this years 2026 double elimination tournament. The Cubs take the day off tomorrow and advance to the championship next weekend, tomorrow we will find out who they will face.

We have some catching up to do due to last Saturday’s rainouts, we will be using 2 fields again this coming Saturday to get back on track. The losers bracket starts out the day at Mercer Park in Iowa City, the winners bracket will be at Liberty HS in North Liberty.

Rain messed up most of the weekend, games did get played at Fairfax and Walford. Below are the results from Sunday’s opening round games.

Check with your manager before leaving for the field tomorrow, all the rain hasn’t let the field dry out and we could get more overnight. We will know early if we play tomorrow, an alternate schedule for the tournament is ready to go if tomorrow is rained out.

Mercer park in Iowa City hosted the opening round of our 2026 tournament. Vandalism to the restrooms at Daniels Park in Cedar Rapids forced us to use Mercer again on Sunday instead of Daniels. Mercer park staff was happy to accommodate and we thank them for hosting us both days.

Game 1 Sat Aug 8th
Our opening game was delayed until Saturday morning due to Fridays storms. The Titans were beaten by the Romita Athletics in the 11 vs 12 single elimination game.

Game 2 Sat Aug 8th
Romita then played right away in game 2 of the day vs the Diamonds. The Diamonds ultimately prevailed with a walk-off HR in the bottom of the 7th.

Game 3 Sat Aug 8
The Blue Jays took on the Brewers with the Brewers prevailing.

Game 4 Sat Aug 8
Brewers vs Diamonds saw the Brewers hit and hit and hit, this game ended up due to the run rules.

Game 5 Sat Aug 8th
Game 5 of the day was another elimination game. Blue Jays battled Romita in Romita’s 3rd game of the day due to the Friday reschedule. The game went back and forth until Romita pulled away and took the win and advanced on to Sunday.

Game 6 Sun Aug 9th
Romita took on the Diamonds and almost pulled off the upset. Up by 3 wasn’t enough runs going in to the bottom of the 7th, Diamonds staged the comeback after Romita had secured the lead in the top half of the inning. Diamonds advanced took take on the Brewers for the right to advance in the tournament next week.

Game 7 Sun Aug 9th
The Diamonds took on the Brewers again with the same result, game ended early due to the run rules. Brewers advance as the 8 seed in next week’s 8 team tourney.

Thank you again for playing and or attending our play in tournament. A lot of good baseball and some not good baseball was played, but it was a good time either way!
