Our first two IHSA Hunt Seat shows of this season are approaching fast– SMWC on Nov 15 & 16 as well as Taylor University (@ Black Dog Farms) Nov 22 & 23. I believe we should have the minimum 3 entries required to hold the class, but will need to know asap so others can plan their schedules accordingly as well. Thanks so much. I also need to get your completed paperwork, proof of USJHA membership, and IHSA dues before you will be allowed to show this season.
The deadline for alumni entries for the upcoming SMWC show is Wednesday, Nov 12 no later than 10 pm.
The deadline for alumni entries for the upcoming Taylor show is Tuesday, Nov 18 no later than 10 pm.
Information I need when submitting your alumni entries to me by email are:
1 Name of rider
2 Entry number (if you rode last year and still have your number, please use this. If you haven’t ridden in our region or no longer have your number, you will be assigned a new number for this season).
3 Your weight with all show clothes, boots, helmet, etc. This will NOT be shared with anyone else, but is needed by the host schools to determine the correct horses for each class.
4 Classes you wish to enter for each day: Over Fences, Flat, or both classes.
Note: Alumni show entries are handled differently than undergrad entries. You will email your entries to me (Deborah Shahadey, alumni rep for our region) and then I email all of the alumni entries as a group to the show secretary for each show. Also, any paperwork will be turned into me, not the show office, etc as the alumni paperwork must be submitted by me to the National Alumni Director. You will, however, submit your class show fees ($30 per class) to the show office for each show when checking in.
