McDowell County Babe Ruth We look forward to seeing you at the ballfield! The program is back for its 13th year after being disbanded for a period of two decades.

Welcome to our official Facebook home for the McDowell County Little League Baseball program...located in the beautiful hills of Marion North Carolina. The current league structure allows children ages 4-16 to participate in our league. Then at the end of each season, the league in ages 6-8,8-10, 10-12 and 13-16, will participate in post-season tournament as a member of North Carolina District 1.

The winners of the District tournament will advance to the State Little League Tournament in July at various different locations across the state. From there the winner of States in the Majors Division (10-12) represent North Carolina at the Southeast Regional to play for the chance of representing the Southeast Region at the Little League World Series in Williamsport PA.

This year, we officially moved our Fall league to a traditional fall schedule. We are excited to see all of the kids back in action in just a few weeks.

And that’s a wrap on the World Series for our 8u girls!

Their road to the championship ended Saturday afternoon with a loss to Lutz. Congratulations to Serenity Capps for being named the player of the game in that game.

What an experience for these girls and their families. 9 days, 10 games, 1 home run derby and thousands of memories made.

We are so proud of these girls and thankful to our community for all of your support along the way!

The girls came up short yesterday against Greater Manasses. They are now playing in the Diamond Bracket at 11am this morning Eastern. Tune in and cheer these girls on during their last day at the Babe Ruth Softball World Series. A win this morning will land them in the Diamond bracket Championship game this afternoon.

Congratulations to Briley Guinn for being named player of the game yesterday.

The girls fell to Lutz this afternoon 12-2 but are ready to bounce back in to action this evening at 7pm Eastern as they face Puerto Rico looking for a win.

Congratulations to Serenity Capps for being the player of the game in game 1 today!

If the girls win tonight they will advance to another game tomorrow at 1pm. If they lose tonight they will play Saturday at 11am in the Diamond Bracket. (Eastern Time)

Tune in and cheer them on at 7 tonight!

So many exciting things happening in Florence for our 8u girls. Enjoy some pictures of the fun they are having on and off the field.

After picking up two wins yesterday they headed back to the fields last night for the home run derby.

🥎Lydia McNeely and Bonnie Peek represented McDowell in the home run derby as players.
🥎Victoria Bowen represented McDowell as the team mom in the competition. Victoria won the 8u division and came in 2nd overall out of nearly 50 moms. Way to go Coach Victoria!!

Also, after each game one player is named the player of the game from each team. Congratulations to our players of the game
