🌿 Schedule Update for This Week 🌿

I’ll be teaching Gentle Yoga on Wednesday at 10 AM at First Baptist Church of Marion.

My mama’s services will be held on Thursday, and knowing how emotionally heavy this day will be, I’ve made the decision to cancel Remix for this week.

Thank you for your love, patience, and understanding. Regular class schedule will resume next week.

Many of you know that my Mother has been bravely fighting cancer these past couple of months. Early Saturday morning, she passed peacefully.

There will be no Monday daytime classes — Mat Pilates at 10 and Chair Yoga at 1 — as we have an appointment at the funeral home to make arrangements.

I’m not sure yet what the rest of this week’s schedule will look like. I will be teaching Gentle Yoga on Monday night at 6:45.

Movement and water have always been part of my healing, and yesterday I was able to spend time in and near the water. Yoga has carried me through loss many times before, and I know in my heart it will carry me through this, too.

I’ll share the rest of the schedule once we know the arrangements.

Thank you, truly, for your love, your support, and your understanding. You are loved so very, very much.

🌿 Monday, July 20 – Class Update 🌿

Please share this update with those not on Facebook.

Daytime classes — Mat Pilates and Chair Yoga — will be cancelled on Monday. Many of you know my sweet little Mama is very sick and is currently at Mission Hospital in Asheville. We have an important meeting with palliative care on Monday that I need to be present for.

Thank you, truly, for your understanding and continued support. I’m hoping we’ll be able to return to our regular schedule next week.

In the meantime, consider joining one of the pay‑what‑you‑can classes at First Baptist Church of Marion. Your presence is always welcome and appreciated. 💚

Deciding to let go of my yoga space was one of the hardest choices I’ve made. A couple of weeks ago, I walked in to teach what I knew would be my last chair yoga class there, and the weight of everything hit me at once. Worry for my mom and her health. Uncertainty about the future. The fear that maybe I’ve been on the wrong path. That wild urge to sell everything and disappear. And underneath it all, the quiet, painful question of whether I’m failing.

I sat in the empty room and cried. Most of the decorations were already taken down, boxes stacked and ready to go, and every sound echoed in a way that made the space feel both hollow and sacred. I tried to find the deeper meaning in all of it—the lesson, the message, the “why”—and came up empty. I’m still searching. I know it’s there, and I trust it will reveal itself when the time is right.

Everything changes. Nothing and no one is permanent. I’m reminding myself that even painful change shapes us, stretches us, and grows us into who we’re meant to become. And for now, it’s ok that I don’t have the answers.

But when I taught that final class, something in me lifted. My heart felt lighter. I remembered how deeply I love teaching—how much joy there is in movement, breath, and connection. And in that moment, it became clear: the space isn’t what matters most. The people are.

Join us for one of the weekly donation based classes at First Baptist Church of Marion for connection, community, and movement.

Come feel the love!

I don’t know what I did to deserve such extraordinary humans in my life, but I am beyond thankful for every single member of my yoga family. Your patience, kindness, hugs, and generosity mean more to me than I could ever put into words. I am absolutely humbled, and more grateful than I can ever express, for each and every one of you.

When I taught my very first yoga class more than twenty years ago, I dreamed of building a community that truly loved and supported one another — a place where friendships grow and people lift each other up. As I move through one of the hardest times of my life, I’ve realized that not only do I have that community… I have a yoga family in the truest sense of the word.

I love you all so very, very much! 🥰

This Week’s Class Schedule

This schedule is subject to change as my Mom is still in the hospital, and I may get a call that they’re ready to do her liver biopsy.

All classes will be held at First Baptist Church of Marion and are donation‑based, pay‑what‑you‑can.

Suggested donation is $10–$12 for all classes except Chair Yoga, which is $5–$7. Please don’t ever let financial hardship keep you from attending. The beauty of donation‑based classes is that those who can give more to help cover those who can’t. It’s community love at its best!

🌿 A Shift in the Journey 🌿

I’ve made the decision to let go of my lease for the yoga space at 1767 East Court St in Marion. I had been weighing whether to renew, and when my mom became sick, the clarity came.

I’ve learned to listen when the Universe speaks. Every step toward keeping that space going seemed to come with another roadblock, and instead of easing up, it kept getting heavier. My beloved little studio has served its purpose, and now it’s time to move with what life is asking of me.

Beginning next week, all current classes will continue at First Baptist Church of Marion on a donation basis. This includes:

• Monday Mat Pilates
• Monday Chair Yoga
• Monday Gentle Yoga
• Wednesday Gentle Yoga
• Thursday Remix, Mat Pilates and Yoga blend (trial basis—its future depends on interest and attendance)

Suggested donation is $10–$15 for most classes and $5–$10 for Chair Yoga. Truly, any amount is appreciated—please never let finances keep you from showing up.

Please check the weekly schedule for updates. With my mom’s diagnosis and everything that comes with her care, there will be changes from time to time. I love each of you deeply, but right now my mom and her treatments have to come first.

Thank you for your support, your patience, and your love.

I’ll meet you on the mat, always. 🌿💚
