Well, to put an end to the chase I’m sad to say that daggers has been taken down. I’m happy for the hunters that harvested him being able to get him on opening day of rifle as father and son. Bittersweet that it’s not my tag wrapped around Him. Hopefully he had spread some genes before being harvested and I can chase his offspring in years to come!

Got it done in Missouri this week! Walked into a piece of land I’ve never been to before, did a hang and hunt and within 45 minutes of being set up I called this big 8 in to 10 yards, made the shot at 30 and watched him fall after running about 50 yards. Always a blast in the show me state, huge thank you to the moon family for all their hospitality.

Sad to say that one of my hitlist bucks “Nemo” was taken this week by the neighbors. Congrats to the hunter that harvest...

Sad to say that one of my hitlist bucks “Nemo” was taken this week by the neighbors. Congrats to the hunter that harvested him. Bittersweet to hold him though. Ended up scoring 134” as an 8 point. A heck of a Michigan buck!

Laid eyes on the crab claw 10 in Missouri this weekend but wasn’t close enough for a shot opportunity. Checked the cameras on the farm back home and Nemo is still hanging around so things are still looking good for October 1st!

Daggers is back!! Haven’t gotten a picture of him in over a month and he shows up right after shedding his velvet. Some of the coolest pictures I’ve gotten with his horns still red like that. Also have Nemo still showing up on camera. Only 24 more days til season opens up!!

I was getting pretty worried with getting closer to these deer’s fall patterns that they would fall off the map and I wouldn’t see them anymore. I haven’t gotten a picture of daggers in about a month but the big 8 that I have nicknamed “Nemo” has been showing up almost every morning and evening even after shedding his velvet. We’ve also had 2 new 8 points show up that my girlfriend and younger brother will be going after this fall. All in all this season is looking good and I’m really looking forward to my opening day trip to Missouri in less than 2 weeks!

Daggers has made a couple more appearances along with the big 8. Really getting excited for season only 56 more days!
